Pilgrim

A pundit or high priest produces an oil burning flame during the sacred Hindu ritual, known as a puja, in honour of God Vishnu in a temple on the outskirts of Mangalore, India. As the month draws to a close and a time of reflection and religious festivies begin for all faiths, I post this puja, that December brings peace and serenity for our bruised and battered world

the fire, as we say in hindus, burns all the bad things or auras around us.the fire and inscence is offered to god as an offering and sacrifice...and also serves the dual purpose of douzing the evil spirits around us within itself.

There's something else i wanted to say too... hinduism is not just about its gods and goddesses
...it is about the religion of work..or karma
..i will elaborate in my blog....i just started today
